Kolonnenjäger
Kolonnenjäger (Ger., lit. »Column Jäger«), the mounted Feldjägers raised by Frederick II of Prussia for reconnaissance and courier duty in the first Silesian War, who often acted as leaders of columns when maps were unavailable. They were subordinate to the »Capitaines des Guides«.
