Tint

Tint, in colour theory, the mixture of a colour with white, which reduces the saturation of same, s. desaturated colours. In our example above, PRIMAcryl 13.321 »Carmine« has been tinted with 20 % white and shaded with 20 % black. Combining tint and shade, or mixing with grey, results in a tone.
