Garrison Troops

Garrison troops, intended solely for garrison duty, consist of older rank and file, semi-disabled soldiers, and formerly even soldiers sentenced to severe punishment. Frederick the Great even punished entire units for poor conduct in battle by converting them into garrison troops.
The 1:300 scale Heroics & Ros miniatures above represent the 1st Battalion of the Prussian Garrison Regiment von Sydow, mounted on 12.5 × 6 mm company stands compatible with Warfare in the Age of Reason wargame rules. The Leibfahne is hand-painted, but the black corner wedges are missing.
