Hue
Hue, in painting, a pure pigment with no tint or shade.
In colour theory, hue describes the property by which colour sensations are differentiated into yellow, orange, red, blue, or green, for example. A colour of the same hue may either vary in saturation, such as grey-blue versus blue, or in brightness, i.e. pink versus red.
