Historical Employment

Evaluation

The Pz.Kpfw. III Ausf. J (late) from ROCO consists of only 12 parts and is delivered fully assembled.

The cast-on detail looks mostly realistic and is easy to paint. Unfortunately, the rear of the tank consists only of a bare armour plate. The muffler, Notek camouflaged rear light and other accessories are missing.

Compatible with HO scale model railway equipment and miniatures by Märklin, ROCO, Faller, Pola, Preiser, and Noch.

The ROCO model of the Pz.Kpfw. III Ausf. J (late) does not seem to have sold as well as the Panther and Tiger I from the same manufacturer, as the Panzer III rarely appears in auctions, and then at inflated prices.

ROCO‘s Pz.Kpfw. III Ausf. J (late) is an excellent “Mark III Special” for wargames of the North African campaign.
