While “Russian Uniform”, “US Olive Drab”, German “Black Grey RAL 7021” don‘t read like typical World War Three British paint names, they nicely illustrate the confusing nature of Vallejo‘s paint naming scheme. What will you say when a wargame friend asks about a particularly well-painted vehicle? “Well, it‘s an »Evil Black Nr. 3« disruptive pattern over a »Disenchanted Snotnose Green« base colour, if I remember correctly.”
If that wasn‘t bad enough, Vallejo paints sometimes change their names from Vallejo 70.887 “Brown Violet” to Vallejo 70.887 “US Olive Drab”, even if the mixture in the bottles may be identical. Don‘t you wish, Vallejo would refer to actual British Standard Colour, Federal Standard Color, or RAL paint names for their products?!
