Vallejo 70.819 »Iraqi Sand« is included in the company‘s »WW2 Desert Paint Set« as the camouflage paint for large equipment of the German Afrika Korps from 1943 onwards. So what we are dealing with here is Vallejo‘s interpretation of Dark Yellow 2, the factory-applied base colour from February 1943 onwards.

In the same paint set, Vallejo also recommends 70.819 »Iraqi Sand« for highlighting British 8th Army KD uniforms.

Vallejo Model Color 70.819 »Iraqi Sand« is compatible enough with Revell 36.314 »Beige RAL 1001«, even if it is a bit darker.
